SOFO: What Do Owls Eat? Discovery & Craft: Children ages 3-5

  • SOFO Bridgehampton, NY USA (map)

Program Presenter: Rachel Speckenbach, South Fork Natural History Museum Environmental Educator

Birds eat many different things, from seeds, to insects, to other animals. In this program we will be learning a bit about an owl’s life through their diet! Owls are important members of our forest and field habitats here on Long Island and are known to be excellent hunters, using their sharp eyesight and good hearing to find food. What do they eat? Join us for an “owl pellet” dissection activity and craft to discover what an owl needs to eat to survive. We’ll work on our counting and sorting skills as well. Material fee $2.

Advance reservations are required. Programs free for SoFo members. Non-members: $15/ adult, $10/child 3-12 years, 2 and under free. Fees include free admission to the museum on the day of the event.
