Program Leader: Xylia Serafy, South Fork Natural History Museum Environmental Educator
Birds that migrate don’t travel all at once. Many migrating water birds—including ducks, geese, and herons—require more than one wetland habitat for nesting, resting, and wintering. The loss of even one of these habitats makes the journey that much harder for them. If you were a migrating water bird, do you think you would survive? Find out in this interactive migration survival game.
Advance reservations are required. Programs free for SOFO members. Non-members: $15/ adult, $10/child 3-12 years, 2 and under free. Fees include free admission to the museum on the day of the event.
