Join us for a walk and discussion on the life history and importance of these birds, the protocols in place to protect them, and the environmental and human impacts affecting these beautiful creatures. At this time of year, piping plovers and least terns may be on eggs or have chicks running around, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for “hidden” nests and chicks. Binoculars are encouraged – SoFo will provide some, but numbers are limited.
